ASCCA Friends

Being in the office most of my work day, I don't get to experience as many "special moments" of camp as I would like, but when I do go out - oh boy!

This morning I noticed that Tiffany (Stephens) Clark was here visiting one of her students, Isaiah. I walked over to horseback to find them and to talk to Kelli too. While waiting on Kelli who was taking a video and photos of a camper riding a horse, I felt the emotion in my heart that makes me really love my job. I stood and watched as camper Collin finished up his ride, then (this is the part that got me) watched him take extra time to just sit and pet the horse. The counselors and staff were encouraging him to do so, because this is what it seemed he REALLY wanted to do. I can't tell you how awesome the smile on his face was and how him sitting there petting the horse was the perfect example of pure happiness.

Make sure to see the video about Collin - this is the smile I'm talking about. Happy Camper

I was kind of having a stressful morning, but Collin made me refocus on what is important ... just stop and take a minute to enjoy the little things.....

Dana I did the same thing... I called my dad and told him to watch the video. I told him it's the smiles like Collin's that we work for!
